Do you want to see the face (and heart) behind @junebeebaby knits?👀

Hi there!
I thought you might like to see who's behind JuneBee Baby, so I'm sharing a recent photo of me and my son from his college family weekend.
Yes, my baby is a freshman now - how time flies!
I'm June, and my knitting story started when I was just nine years old. My neighbor, Auntie Sevim from Greece, taught me how to knit. She'd sit with me for hours, showing me different stitches until I got them right. That simple start grew into something I never expected.
When I was pregnant with my son (the handsome guy in the photo!), I noticed something was missing in kids clothes - exquisite pieces that are hand-knit but could actually handle daily life with a little one. Durable and machine-washable.
I also wanted to avoid synthetic yarns completely and craft with natural fibers only. That's how my artisan shop began.
These days, I work with a small group of amazing knitters who create each piece by hand. Our artisan group is a tight-knit community and we love this beautiful journey.
We make everything to order - which means we only knit what you need, in the size and color you choose. We aim for no extras sitting on shelves, no waste. Just thoughtfully made clothes that last.
Can I tell you a secret? Now that my son's away at college, I've moved my little studio into his room. Being surrounded by his things while I create makes me feel a bit closer to him. (Fellow empty nesters, you get it, right?)
Want to know a bit more about me? :-) When I'm not designing knits, you'll find me taking long walks in our green neighborhood (thankfully our winters are short here in Georgia), probably listening to podcasts.
I'm drawn to all shades of olive green, which you might notice in our collections. And after a day of work, you'll usually find me curled up with some parsley leaf tea and dark chocolate (my weakness!) watching murder mysteries. Elementary and Endeavour are my favorites - anyone else love these TV shows?
Spring and summer are my cherished seasons, maybe because they remind me of new beginnings - like each piece I create for you and your family.
Now, it's your turn :-) I'd love to hear about you. Drop me a quick note and tell me about yourself. Here's my email address: JuneSayali@junebeebaby.com
Talk soon,
June
